Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system. Minimum user requirements are as follows:
- Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
- E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
- Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:
- Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
- Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.
The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
- Current commitments of firm, proposed staff and consultants.
- Prior experience of the proposed project staff in the design and construction of similar projects.
- Overall design quality of the relevant projects submitted.
- MAFBE participation of Professional Service Consultant and sub-consultants with a goal of 20%. Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) Business Enterprise Program certification is the basis for determination of MAFBE status.
- Prior experience with projects at the university level / institutions of higher education.
- Firms experience in selecting the appropriate design approaches and functional solutions for projects of similar scope and magnitude.
- Cumulative quality, expertise and chemistry of the proposed team of individuals and consultants.
- Firms demonstrated expertise with public safety, high security and law enforcement facility planning and design in accordance with IACP guidelines.
- Expertise and success in construction cost estimating.
