PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION RELATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from professional services consultants to provide professional services in connection with the following project:
Project Name: Pharmacy Renovation and Artist Rendering
Description of Project: Feasibilty study to investigate renovation and reconfiguration of the existing compounding lab, faculty offices and graduate student offices to create state of the art compounding lab with distance learning and accomodations for 55-80 students. Deliverables include conceptual layouts, artist’s rendering and magnitude of cost for the work.

Project Budget: $14,500.00Construction Budget: $0.00

Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Minimum user requirements are as follows:

  • Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
  • E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
  • Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.

The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Make up of project team including consultants.
  • Overall project experience.
  • Experience with similar projects.
  • Experience with institutional clients and projects.
  • Overall quality of projects submitted.
  • Organization of sufficient size to undertake such a project and meet schedule developed by the University.

The Professional Services Consultant selection will be consistent with the Architectual, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
