The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from professional services consultants to provide professional services in connection with the following project:

Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Minimum user requirements are as follows:

  • Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
  • E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
  • Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.

The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Current commitments of firm, proposed staff and consultants.
  • prior experience of proposed project staff in the design and construction of similar hospital projects.
  • Overall design quality or relevant projects submitted.
  • MAFBE participation of Professional Services Consultant and sub-consultants.
  • Demonstrated involvement in construction projects beginning at sch3ematic design and continuing thru occupancy.
  • Demonstrated previous input to other design teams regarding LEED issues, commissioning and specifications for each.
  • Experience with review of design documents to make sure that commissioning is appropriately designed, detailed and spedified in the project documents.
  • experience with management of testing and balancing. Previous experience with management of all commissioning activities and participants. Demonstrated abilities in performing commissioning services in coordination with Owner, Architect of REcord and Contractors.
  • Inclusion of a qualified Mechanical Engineer on this team to perform functional commissioning.
  • Inclusion of a qualified building automation consultant for design and oversight of the BAS system installation.
