PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION RELATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from professional services consultants to provide professional services in connection with the following project:

Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Minimum user requirements are as follows:

  • Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
  • E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
  • Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.

The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Overall make-up of the proposed project team (including consultants) and their experience in designing and constructing similar projects of this scope, type, and significance.
  • Relevant projects submitted in firm’s proposal reflect the overall architectural style, image, and design quality the University of Illinois Springfield campus desires.
  • Experience in designing facilities that incorporate US Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design elements. (For example, but not limited to systems involving geothermal heat pumps, radiant heating and cooling, photovoltaic panels, chilled beam system, etc.)
  • Experience with higher education clients and projects.
  • Accessibility of the firms proposed staff and consultants.
  • MAFBE participation of the Professional Service Consultant and Sub-consultants. (20% goal)

The Professional Services Consultant selection will be consistent with the Architectual, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

Interested firms should not forward brochures or other data until notified by UIS Director of Construction.
