PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION RELATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from professional services consultants to provide professional services in connection with the following project:
Project Name: Main Library Feasibility Study
Description of Project: Development of a comprehensive master plan for the University Library.
Project Area: GSF:N/ANASF:N/A
Project Budget: $100,000.00Construction Budget: $0.00

Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Minimum user requirements are as follows:

  • Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
  • E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
  • Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.

The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Proven professional capability and prior experience on similar types of projects, with emphasis on specific library experience at the university or collegiate level.
  • Prior performance on completed projects for the University of Illinois and/or other similar institutions of higher education.
  • Appropriate size staff, professional disciplines, and professional and technical supervision.
  • Overall quality of projects submitted.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties.
  • Minority and Business Enterprise/Female Business Enterprise status of the lead consultant and subconsultants.

The Professional Services Consultant selection will be consistent with the Architectual, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
