PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION RELATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from professional services consultants to provide professional services in connection with the following project:
Project Name: Champaign Campus Housing Feasibility Study
Description of Project: This project will study and provide input to enable decision-making on a a variety of issues related to upgrading student (residence hall) housing, dining and related residential services within the blocks bounded by First and Fourth Street and Gregory and Peabody Drives. The facilities within the project area curently total nine building, housing approximately 3,000 students.

Project Budget: $150,000.00Construction Budget: $0.00

Note: The project will be administered using the Owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximaize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team colllaboration in management and interaction, as well as a team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Minimum user requirements are as follows:

  • Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is recommended.
  • E-mail: PRZM requires the user to have a valid e-mail account.
  • Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) viewer.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an (Architect, Engineer, or Landscape Architect) in the State of Illinois.
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System.

The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Prior experience in providing consultative services in the area of student housing (specifically residence halls), dining facilities, and related housing services.
  • Prior experience in the consultation, design and development of housing (specifically residence halls) and dining facilities.
  • Prior overall experience with University Housing and Dining clients.
  • Overall quality of the projects submitted.
  • Overall project experience.
